I truly did not know what it felt like to experience joy every day until Pancake came into my life. Everywhere I went, faces would light up over Pancakes otherworldly cuteness.

When they were both under 3 years old, I was in the worst depression of my life. The only thing that could occupy my mind for long enough was designing peplum skirts and winter capelets that were stylish and small enough for Godiva. Though the idea of making dog clothes seemed gay, outrageous and unachievable for someone with no fashion or sewing skills, dreaming up clothes for my babies helped turn my mind from melancholy momentarily.

Fast forward 10 years, Pancake & Godiva bcomes a clothing brand sold online and in boutiques in LA, NY, and the EU, worn by dogs of celebrities like Paris Hilton and Katy Perry.

The Clothes, The Cuteness

What made Pancake & Godiva so unique as a brand was most of the collection was made from upcycling design dust bags. The fabric bags that came with shoes, handbags, and accessories from luxury brands were used as the fabric of P&G clothing.

I was working at D.Bleudazzled and saw an old Gucci GG fabric dust bag in my gym bag. I held it up and noticed it was exaclty the amount of fabric needed to construct a hoodie for Pancake. Though I had never sewn or designed a canine hoodie before, divine inspiration guided my hand and within 90 minutes, i had patterned, constructed, tailored and sewn a Gucci GG Hoodie for Pancake that fit perfectly. The elation and sass that erupted when Pnacake wore it, birthed the canine clothing line Pancake & Godiva
